Gavin Jones is a fourth generation fly fisherman in the great state of Michigan. At the age of five years old, Gavin’s dad started bringing him along on fishing excursions throughout the spring and summer months. He grew up cutting his teeth on the North Branch and Mainstem of the Manistee river by his family cottage, along with taking trips to the other side of town to fish the famed AuSable river. He began working in the fly-fishing industry right after high school by working at Old AuSable Fly Shop in Grayling, MI, where he still books trips through today.

Gavin guides year round for trout and migratory fish throughout Michigan and at Goodnews River Lodge in Alaska. When he isn’t guiding, Gavin is fishing to further his knowledge of the river systems he spends his time on and the fish that live in them.
