Noah Pressler

Noah Pressler is a local to the area of the Western North Carolina. Living in the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau for the last 17 years, he has had lots of opportunities to experience all different types of fishing. Whether it’s on the local lakes chasing largemouth bass with big poppers or wading a cool mountain stream looking for wild trout, there’s always something to get into in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Noah began fishing at the age of 3 and started learning to fly fish at 8 in small lakes and ponds for bluegill and bass. Around the age of 12 he cut his teeth on trout fishing, wading the East Fork of the French Broad with his grandfather. Ever since then he’s had a deep passion for all things fishing.
After graduating from Western Carolina University with a degree in Emergency and Disaster management in 2022, Noah has spent a lot of his free time roaming the area’s lakes and streams in search of the next bite. When he’s not in a river in WNC, he also thoroughly enjoys going down to the salt in search of Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit on the flats of the Florida Keys with friends and family!
Noah is currently a Firefighter for the Cashiers-Glenville Fire Department and when he’s off shift from the firehouse, he’s a guide for Brookings Anglers in Cashiers, North Carolina. He loves showing seasoned veterans new spots and techniques or starting from scratch and teaching the basics with a beginner fly fisherman that’s doing it for the first time!
In the WNC mountains Noah encounters all kinds of situations on the water that require different styles of fishing. Whether it be wading on a small stream or river that requires a soft presentation for spooky trout or floating a large open river in pursuit of smallmouth bass, Noah is excited to show you everything scott has to offer when it comes to the different styles of fishing in his area!
