Justin Miller

Bio
Justin Miller has worked for The Fly Shop in Redding, California since 2004. He started fishing with his father before he can remember, but picked up fly fishing when he was about 15 years old and fell in love with the method chasing trout throughout the Sierra’s every summer. He transferred from Santa Barbara to Chico State in his college years to get closer to the mountains and the fish… It was here where Justin discovered steelhead, and they changed his path in life and fly fishing. Originally chasing steelhead in NorCal’s central valley, he started wandering farther, finding the coast in the winter, then Oregon, Idaho and Washington… and after being hired by The Fly Shop, he found his way to BC and Alaska. In 2008 The Fly Shop hired Justin to start guiding in the Russian Far East on the Kamchatka peninsula, where is has now guided 11 seasons, and ran the Kamchatka Steelhead Project for 6 of those.
Justin now works for The Fly Shop in their International Travel Department sending anglers all around the globe chasing their favorite species. He specializes in the swing fisheries of the world in the Pacific Rim for Steelhead and Chinook, the north Atlantic for Atlantic Salmon, and Tierra Del Fuego for Sea Run Brownies. He does branch out a little though, spending time in Mexico chasing permit, the jungle chasing peacocks and golden dorado… pretty much you name it he is down…
