Guitou's love for fishing began in the bass ponds of Atlanta. As his interest grew he quickly moved out of local bass ponds and into the rivers of the Southeast. His guiding career began on the South Holston River in Northeast Tennessee where he worked for five years. There, he honed his skills on the spooky trout and Smallmouth bass.

When he was twenty-two he began guiding near Dillon, Montana working on the Beaverhead, Big Hole, and Madison Rivers. It didn't take long for him to make his home in Southwest Montana and has been working there for the past eight years. He enjoys guiding anglers of all skills levels from beginner to seasoned fisherman.

Guitou now splits his year spending summers in Montana and winters in Chile. In Patagonia, he has been able to fish diverse river systems and lakes, throwing large dry flies to unspooky fish. His laid back style and knowledge ensure that his clients have a good day on the water whether in Montana or Chile. 

Guitou's favorite trout rod is a 6 wt Radian whether throwing big dries or heavy bobber rigs: the Radian get the jobs done in any situation. He is proud to be a member of the Scott Pro Staff.
