 Jason Budd is originally from Vermont and has had a passion for fishing and the outdoors since he was old enough to hold a fishing rod. After moving to Jackson Hole WY in 1999 to pursue his passion for snowboarding he took up fly fishing. It wasn’t long and soon he got the bug, literally! Spending the next five Summers exploring the waters in the region he learned just how special of a place he was in. Many of those days on the river were spent with his fishing mentor Jay Allen who then used Scott rods and taught Jason in the ways of bug life and fish habitat.  Jay also gave him his first G series Scott 5 weight and that changed everything! Jason spent the next several years dreaming of having his own Scott rod quiver. Now as a Scott pro staffer his dream has fulfilled itself.

Jason now has his own guide service based in Jackson WY. He has spent countless days on the rivers in the region guiding for over a decade. When you step into his boat you are handed the best fishing tool in the industry, a hand made Scott fly rod!
