Bio
Growing up you would always hear people talk about the success in their lives with dollar signs..... I learned at a very young age that my success in life would be measured in fish count. I was born in Kellogg Idaho and shortly after my parents moved us to a little place called Beluga Alaska where my hunger for chasing fish began. By the time I was six I had landed enough salmon to feed a small army. In 1989 we moved back to North Idaho where I reside today.I come from a long line of very serious fly fisherman! I have been fly fishing for twenty three years and spend over two hundred days a year on the water. In the spring and summer months you can find me fishing and guiding in North Idaho. October through March, that's when the real magic happens, chasing steelhead on the Grande Ronde, Snake, Clearwater, and Methow. I specialize in skating dries for steelhead in September, October and November where my numbers of moved fish are steadily increasing as the years go on ( but that number can not be talked about because I don't want to make you all blush).
I am a firm believer in staying true to your local shop. I am going on 15 years fishing for my homies at Northwest Outfitters in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, make sure to check them out when you're in the area.
I couldn't be more honored to be a part of the Scott team! If you don't throw a Scott rod, no matter what fish you might be chasing, you are......well, silly. Do yourself a favor and make the switch!! Tight lines to all my fellow fisher people, see you on the river.
