Bio
Steve Taggart has been guiding the Upper Delaware River System in the Catskills since 2000.He spends the season in his riverside camper completely immersing himself in the rhythms of the river. Unlike most Delaware River Guides who focus on the crowded West Branch, Steve fishes the bigger and less fished waters of the East Branch and Lower Main Stem. When he's not guiding, Steve is busy working as a Professional Firefighter and EMT.Besides Trout, Steve has developed a passion for swinging flies and pitching dries for Atlantic Salmon and Steelhead with two handed rods. He has fished for them throughout BC, the Gaspe, and New Brunswick in Canada. He also loves fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas and Florida Keys and chasing Albies in Long Island with his friends. A former fly shop owner, he brings a diversified knowledge of fly fishing to his daily guiding activity. More than anything, he loves the teaching aspect of guiding and sharing his experiences.
