Todd “Slim” Cancilla has been a full time professional fly fishing guide since 1993. He makes his home in Redding Ca. and guides 200+ days a year. Slim spends early Spring through late Summer on the Lower Sacramento River targeting trout and occasional steelhead, then switches to the Trinity River from early Fall through the end of Winter to fish exclusively for steelhead. Slim spent the first 11 years guiding on the San Juan River in Northwest New Mexico where he became an expert at helping clients catch hard to fool trout.Slim brought that technical knowledge and experience to Redding in early 2004 when he moved with his wife back to Northern California. Slim is now an independent guide and outfitter and gives 110% to make sure his clients have the best possible experience on the water and go home with memories to last a lifetime. Slim has been fishing Scott Rods since 1994 because its the best, “ I've never cared how a rod casts in the parking lot or on a casting pond with a small piece of yarn, I care how a rod performs in the real world, on the water with terminal tackle actually fishing to catch fish.
