Dan was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with some of the west's most fantastic fishing surrounding him. From the south fork of the Snake River to the Henry's Fork, Dan spent most of his free time on the water. Over the years, Dans knowledge grew as did his love for a particular species of fish, the beautiful steelhead. He has fought to recover these anadromous fish through Idaho Salmon steelhead unlimited and Idaho Rivers United. Dan makes his living as a fly fishing guide year round working in some of the finest rivers from the North Platte river, Snake River and Salmon river. Dan can almost always be found fishing one of these rivers with his canine companion, Steelie, not far from his side.
