The "feel" of Scott rods is what makes them; I think they are one of the finest fly rods out there.
In the small town of Onalaska Washington just a few short miles from the Cowlitz River I have a little shop called Lost Creek Fly Shop, & Mike Sturza’s Fly fishing Guide Service. We fly fish year around! Weather permitting.
What I really enjoy is the seeing the expression on the clients face when that first steelhead takes the fly, or when that Tigermuskie eats a fly right at the boat!
The best thing about Scott Fly Rods is no matter where we are fishing they have a rod for any of the applications I need. When I’m swinging for steelhead the T3H spey rods do the job very well, and when the highland lakes open, and the grasshoppers start hitting the water the G series is the rod! When tiger muskies get active the Scott Meridian 8’ 10”, 10 and 11ts do the job! Because of this, I’m proud to have them on my guided trips.
My favorite rods are the T3H 13’6” 7wt and the 12’ 6” 6wt, and the G 9’ 6wt, and the Meridian 8’10’’ 10 and 11 wts for the tigers.
