Between Montana, Washington, Alaska and Mexico – “Rooster” as most know him, spends more time on the water than he does with his family in Montana. Whether you are a guest of the Stonefly, or in the front of his driftboat, you can expect to hear stories (most of them true) ranging from his days as a rescue swimmer with the Coast Guard, to trolling offshore for Black Marlin in Panama and everything in between. He prides himself as the type of fly fishing guide that can blend into any atmosphere, with a smile on his face. He generally stops at nothing to make sure everyone around him is enjoying themselves.
Rooster has a penchant for good equipment, and will be the first to tell you he doesn’t have time for gear that won’t stand the test of time. Hence his fly rod preference.
